Cards For Soldiers

Hi, ladies! I'm Anna Mills and I don't think I could be any happier about guest blogging today :) I've been married to a super great guy for 15 years and we have 3 crazy kids that keep us pretty busy. I've been scrapping for about 10 years and am currently on the DT for Nuts About Sketches (love Shawn!).

Today I'm really pleased to tell you about a great blog that everyone should check out - Cards For Soldiers .

Pam, the creator and keeper of the blog, receives handmade cards and mails them out to deployed units so the soldiers can send messages to their loved ones back home. What a wonderful way for the scrappy community to show support for armed service members!

Cards should be A2 size (4.25x5.5) in order to fit the provided envelopes and should be left blank inside (feel free to post a msg to a soldier on a self-stick note, though - they love the encouragement!). General occasion cards are always accepted and specific occasion cards are organized in 'Rounds' with mailing deadlines. The current campaign is Round 5 (mail by May 8th) and includes Mothers Day, Fathers Day, and Independence Day.

When making cards please keep in mind that glitter can't be used for safety reasons (Stickles are ok) and the cards shouldn't be too thick or bulky.

You can also support this effort by donating envelopes - check out the blog's January 4th post for all the details.

To send your crafty work or envelopes, mail to the following address...and, make sure to include a note telling Pam that you heard about her blog from us :)
